About Us

Some brands are built. This one was worn.

Mulacake started in [year] in [area]. Bright colours, bold prints, made for kids and the families around them. It was never trying to be exclusive — it was trying to be everywhere. And for a while, it was. In the playground, on the estate, in photographs people still have saved on their phones.

Look closely at those photographs and you'll find faces that went on to do things. That isn't a coincidence. That's what happens when a brand belongs to a place before it belongs to a market.

Then it went quiet.

[One honest line about why — life, family, timing, whatever the truth is.]

The people who wore it kept going. They refined. Some of them made it. And the brand stood still while they moved.

That's the part that never sat right.

The return

Mulacake is back, and it isn't the same. It couldn't be. A brand that speaks to who you were isn't much use to who you've become.

The colours are quieter now. The cuts are considered. Everything is made in smaller runs, to a standard the first version couldn't afford. What hasn't changed is who it's for — the same people, at a different stage of their lives.

Mulacake didn't change. It grew up. And so did everyone who wore it.

Why now

Dexter is building this for his children.

The first time round was the climb. Learning it the hard way, making it work with nothing, figuring it out in public. This time is different. The point isn't to do all of that again — it's to hand them something that starts further up the hill than he did.

That's what a legacy actually is. Not a brand you sell. One you pass on.

Made in small numbers. Built to be kept.
